I want to become a staff member on eXc for the simple fact that it looks to potiential to be a big server and i want to be along for the ride, i have much experience in staffing/managing servers and i believe i can be a great addition to the team. -If accepted, how much time (roughly) do you think you'll be able to put into Moderating the server? Yes, i have much experience in staffing on many big servers as well as owning gaming communities i own one myself now. -Are you familiar with using basic Garry's Mod Administration/Moderation tools such as ULX? [b]Moderator Situations:[/b] Moderating a Garry's Mod Server is not easy, you must be prepared for anything, each situation can be a tough and challenging experience. Situation 1: A player who is playing as a V.I.P. Swat Chief has recently arrested multiple players back to back. You are receiving many complaints through chat that it was Mass RDA. You ask the players in jail what happened, and it appears the Swat Chief did indeed arrest them for no reason. When you consult the player who is playing as Swat Chief, he becomes irritated and hostile arguing that he did nothing wrong. He claims he is best friends with the owners and will have you demoted if you do not leave him alone. How would you handle this situation? I firstly explain to him that RDA is not allowed on the server, then i ban him for Mass-RDA and Threats towards a staff member. Situation 2: A player’s base has been raided and he is not happy about it at all. The raiders kill him and finish their raid. Once the raid is over, the player who was raided goes back and kills one of the raiders for stealing his printers. The raider calls you complaining of NLR. You bring both players together and discuss the situation. Both of the players comply very well, and any hard feelings are settled; regardless, the player who was raided still broke the NLR. What punishment do you think the player deserves? A Warning for NLR Situation 3: Being a staff member requires a lot of observation. A player with a strange name joins the server and leaves the spawn still playing as a citizen. You run across him in the streets after ten minutes or so of him being on the server. You attempt to conversate with him, but he just continues to walk away every time you speak. You give up on talking to him, but something just does not seem right about him. A few minutes later, you notice the player, still a citizen, walking the streets with a gun in his hands, but he seems to be avoiding you. Is it important to keep an eye on this player? Why or why not? Yes, in my book he's under the suspicion of a minge and it seems to me that he is looking to cause some trouble rather its RDM or just trying to break every rule possible so yes i would keep an eye on him every so often to make sure that he is on here to play and not disturb the playerbase. Situation 4: There is a user causing chaos on the server with Mass RDM. You decide to ban him for as long as your permissions allow you to, however, he returns on an alt account of his, claiming that if his main account is not un-banned, he will hack the server. How do you react to this situation and what procedure must you follow after dealing with the individual? If able i would IP-Ban him if i cannot ipban i will get a higher ranking to do so. Situation 5: A new player has just joined. You look in console and can see that they are spawning a lot of props. What should you do? I would firstly bring him into a sit and figure out what is the reason he is spawning in props depending on his answer, i would proceed to do whatever accordingly. Finalization! Almost done...
